Interview
Regeneration: Life at the Center
In this live session, Eileen and Paul open the summit with an exploration of regeneration as a north star for the clothing industry and beyond. Eileen shares her vision behind the summit and regenerative design, quoting Paul’s book Regeneration as she introduces him. Paul reflects on the current state of the world and how we all unwillingly and unknowingly participate in a world of degeneration. He shares his hopes for regenerating life, using the power of imagery to unpack the relationships between soil, global heating, water and the hydrosphere. Eileen and Paul also discuss the possibilities of fiber innovation and reflect on Paul’s idea of “leap-frogging” beyond incremental change toward industry-wide transformation.
